I had a very pleasant stay at the Strand Palace Hotel. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Covent Garden, making it convenient to explore central London. The staff were attentive and very respectful. After my first night, I raised a concern about the sealed windows (which is common in London) as it doesn’t allow for proper air circulation. They quickly found a solution for me, which I really appreciated. The housekeeping staff were also lovely and respectful of my privacy, and William, the server at the Haxwelle restaurant, was extremely helpful and kind. However, I found it a bit odd that there was no door between the bathroom and the bedroom in the single room I booked. If you’re staying with someone, this might be an issue, so keep that in mind. I’m not sure if all rooms are designed this way, but it’s worth noting.

The facilities were great, and the hotel was beautiful. The room, our cozy double, was indeed cozy. The breakfast staff was kind, the wonderful man serving hot food was smiling, kind and patient. The people at the front desk were kind, and even found time for you in check-in "rush hour". Truly appreciative of a great stay. When we checked in, the clerk found us another room with higher ceilings so-as-to accommodate my height, which was a wonderful gesture, and not something I'd have expected! We were able to forgo room service in exchange for a voucher for the gin bar. win/win to be able to both help the climate by reducing wasteful washes AND get a cheaper gin & tonic. What a life, huh.

If you are visiting London for site-seeing it is pretty much in the center of everything. You are 15 to 30 minutes walk to almost all popular sites. The vast majority of west end theatres are in the vicinity. There is a bus stop just outside the hotel and a subway station 5 minutes away. A bakery/coffee shop on the east side of the hotel offers some options for breakfast. Tesco and sainsbury in less than 5 minutes walk. Location is perfect! The room was very clean. It offered many amenities like iron with ironing board, blow dryer, shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, body lotion, kettle, a selection of tea, instant coffee, welcoming chocolate and bottles of water.

The staff are all so helpful and very efficient. They had no problem freezing my medical ice packs. The doorman was fantastic helping us get our Uber earlier today, thank you so much.. The constant information given during the fire alarm this morning (Saturday 30th November) was great, the experience was a bit unnerving but everyone remained calm.. The provision of the orange refillable water bottles is fantastic well done on helping save the planet.. The Christmas decorations are beautiful and the ballerinas were the icing on the cake for me. Very festive indeed.. Thank you for making our few days in London feel so special. 😊

The location of the hotel was very central, the staff at check in was helpful and prompt. The bed was comfortable, lined and towels were clean, the (ritual) toiletries provided adequate and luxurious. The wifi worked all right, the a/c was perfect. Coffee/tea refills were great, appreciated the move to have refillable/reusable bottles, loved the nice bar of chocolate in the room, and the double shutters on the windows. I also appreciated getting the voucher that I could redeem at the cafe, for foregoing cleaning of the rooms.
